ServiceNow Engineer

Location: Remote or Boston, MA 

Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance

Position Overview

We are seeking a ServiceNow Engineer to design, develop, and optimize ServiceNow solutions in a secure enterprise environment. This role goes beyond administration and focuses on platform architecture, custom development, integrations, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and mission needs

· Develop custom applications, workflows, Flow Designer logic, and integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server)

· Configure and extend ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, or SecOps modules

· Perform advanced scripting using JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow best practices

· Lead platform upgrades, architectural improvements, and technical governance

· Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and enterprise tools

· Support security, compliance, and audit requirements in a cleared environment

· Mentor administrators and junior engineers as needed

Required Qualifications

· Active Secret Clearance (required at time of hire)

· 5+ years of ServiceNow experience with engineering or development focus

· Strong ServiceNow scripting and development expertise

· Experience designing and supporting integrations

· Deep understanding of ITSM and enterprise service workflows

· Ability to work independently in remote or hybrid environments

Preferred Qualifications

· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD)

· Experience with ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, or SecOps

· Prior experience supporting federal, defense, or intelligence community customers

· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
