At Shoreline, we build and maintain advanced AI-powered simulation and CMMS software for the offshore and onshore wind energy sector, used by some of the world's largest renewable energy companies. Our software deals with large amounts of data, from many sources, and visualizes this in a sleek UI that always needs to be user-friendly, because every second counts. Our software helps keep technicians safe while repairing huge blades, keep ships and helicopters on-route and problem-free, and makes sure all sites and turbines are well cared for.
What you will do
You will contribute to a more sustainable and renewable world by:
  • Implementing world-class features in NodeJS, Java, and Vue.js
  • Orchestrating our setup in the AWS cloud, using most of what AWS has to offer such as Autoscaled task clusters, Lambda functions, EC2 instances, etc.
  • Driving constant improvement and developing tooling for yourself, and for other colleagues, that helps you get the job done even better and faster
  • Troubleshooting and solving complex and rewarding issues
  • Learning new things, and sharing knowledge
Who you are
You are a software engineer, that sees the value in working with a system that makes the world more renewable. But also:
  • Creative and pragmatic
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, and a great communicator
  • A strong education, or equivalent work experience that empowered your self-taught passion
  • 1+ years of experience working fully remote
  • 3+ years of experience building fantastic software in both backend and frontend
    • A bonus if you have done it in NodeJS, Vue.js, or Java
  • 3+ years of working with SQL/NoSQL databases
    • A bonus if you have worked with document databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Strong TypeScript knowledge, and desire to write fantastic TypeScript code
  • Cloud infrastructure experience
    • Bonus if it's in AWS
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience

Additional information
Founded in Scandinavia, Shoreline has employees distributed across multiple locations in the European time-zones, including Bosnia-Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the UK. We have offices in Denmark and Norway, but people in other countries work 100% remote, and most of our teams have members in several different locations. Video meetings, Slack chat and other remote collaboration are the norm.
