About the role

Polymarket is looking for a design engineer. There are special types of people who love front-end hacking just as much as user-obsessed product design. If that’s you, we want to work together.

The design engineering team is responsible for delivering highly polished, intuitive, and engaging interfaces across all of Polymarket’s products. You’ll partner closely with product designers, engineers, and our founder directly to design and create delightful interactive experiences that make prediction markets more accessible, transparent, and enjoyable for all.

What you’ll do

• Build and prototype. You’ll code new UI components, animations, and interactions that enhance the overall product experience. You’ll be an advocate for best practices in front-end development and performance optimization.

• Establish a system. You’ll contribute to Polymarket’s design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and performance across all touchpoints.

• Cross-company collaboration. You’ll work closely with designers and other engineers to define, design, and implement high-quality user experiences.

• Craft experiences end-to-end. You’ll help lead the technical roadmap for the full product lifecycle—from ideation to implementation and iteration—with a strong sense of ownership.

• Plan for the future. You’ll keep up with emerging web technologies, design trends, and the evolving blockchain space to continuously elevate Polymarket’s user experience.

What we’re looking for

• Cracked

• Obsessed with product

• 4+ years of professional development experience

• Proficiency in front-end technologies (React, Next.js, TypeScript) with a focus on interactions, animation, performance, readability, and polish.

• Deep understanding of design principles (typography, layout, color, illustration). 

• Experience working with Figma, design tokens, and design systems to bridge the gap between design and development.

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with a keen eye for detail

• A passion for the markets, truth, & freedom of speech.

• Understanding of DeFi and financial markets is a nice to have. Willingness to learn about them is a must.
