General Operation Automation Consultant – DevOps Automation Engineer Operations Automation Consultant: Actively participate in team activities such as suggesting improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluations Deliver specific solutions provided by teams across the organization Document best practice with precise steps of how to get there in consultation with expert. Work with Solution Analyst and developers to ensure the software solution delivered confirms to best practice.
The Associate Automation Consultant meets the following attributes:
Working collaboratively with geographically spread teams to help automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment and configuration.
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.
Experience with configuration management tools
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Knowledge of systems and IT operations
Has good understanding in frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
Has good collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
Required Skills:

Framework is Ruby based hence prior experience in Ruby can help ramp on this position quickly
Duration of assignment is 6 months with possibility of extension based on Business Need and performance.
Bay area candidates can work remotely after first few weeks of ramping up but should portray ownership of their work and tasks.
Virginia candidates will be required to go into the SAP office a couple of times during the week as the automation team sits in Reston, Virginia with flexibility to work from home on an as needed basis.
Interview: Phone screen followed by screen share coding test and onsite interview or video screen based on location.
