Roles & Responsibilities

Extensive experience with Oracle-based technologies, including PL/SQL development, data extraction, data integration, and job scheduling.
Proven production support experience with data-bound queries, SQL tuning, PL/SQL enhancements for performance, and handling emergency releases.
Ability to translate functional requirements into relational data models and technical designs, including data modeling and data interfaces.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment (including off-hours support); knowledge of change management and testing; scripting language familiarity is desirable.

Requirements:

Design, develop, and enhance PL/SQL code and Oracle-based applications; tune SQL for better performance and create technical specifications and documentation.
Develop data interfaces, data transfers, relational data models/designs, scheduling, and manage application code changes; collaborate with team members and business groups to gather requirements.
Provide production support, including issue resolution for data-bound queries and application servers, emergency releases, and ongoing performance tuning.
Collaborate across development and integration activities; track defects and enhancements in Quality Center, update test steps, and translate functional requirements into technical designs and code while supporting change management and testing processes.

Job description

Develop and incorporate business processes to enhance the current applications using Oracle based technologies. Write and modify PL/SQL programs based on the requirements to extract data, integration, schedule jobs, application enhancements.

Develop and incorporate business processes to enhance the current applications. Write and modify PL/SQL programs based on the requirements to extract data, integration, schedule jobs, application enhancements. Production support with specific emphasis on the development of changes related to data bound queries, sql tuning, pl/sql enhancements to get improved performance. Develop data interfaces, data transfer, relational diagrams, scheduling and application code management. Collaborate development activities with other team members. Create technical specification and other documents as required.

* Design, develop and write pl/sql code and enhance application code, tune sql code to get better performance. Developing relational data models and designs

* Identify issues with the application data, analyze and apply and provide emergency release and production support. Review application server issues and provide resolution.

* Write data exchange interfaces, job scheduling

* Update quality center defects/enhancements including test steps; code changes to build the knowledge base.

*Collaborate development and integration activities with other team members. Work with business groups, internal-external team to understand requirement to write efficient system programs.

* Provide support for production application.

* Good oral and written communication skills are required.

* Applicants must have strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to work on multiple projects/issues simultaneously in aggressive environment including off hours support.

* Applicants must have the ability to assess the impact of software upgrades and other environmental changes.

* Knowledge in software package installation, change management, and testing is preferable.

* Candidate should be able to translate functional requirement, build relational model and transfer relational model into technical design and application code.

* Knowledge of the scripting language is highly desirable.

* Candidate should be an excellent team player and independently able to research and provide resolution for any production support.
