  • Champion relationship-based practice and embed the Signs of Safety model

Job description

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for a Team Manager for the Children and Young People Disability Team to join Medway’s Children’s Services.

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with disabilities? Medway Council is seeking a dedicated Team Manager to lead and inspire a team delivering high-quality services to children aged 0–17 with disabilities.

As a key member of the Children and Young People Disability Team, you will:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team including an Assistant Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and Family Support Workers
  • Oversee safeguarding and CIN plans, manage court cases, and ensure best practice in statutory work
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary professionals in SEND and the Integrated Care Board (ICB)
  • Champion relationship-based practice and embed the Signs of Safety model
  • Drive continuous improvement and support career progression within the team

What we are looking for in a Team Manager:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, PGC, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Extensive post-qualifying experience, including professional supervision
  • Strong knowledge of disability-related grants and experience working with disabled children in a statutory setting
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
