Requirements:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth in banking and credit union sectors; maintain a healthy sales funnel; monitor and report performance metrics to the executive team.
  • Present the Goalsetter solution to clients, including product demos and sales presentations; translate client needs into solutions with product, engineering, and marketing teams; build and maintain relationships with key clients as trusted advisor.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth; determine key industry events and collaborate with Marketing to optimize presence; conduct market research on trends and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall business goals; communicate sales plans, progress, and challenges to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

Job description

Overview 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales and Client Solutions Executive to
lead our B2B sales initiatives and drive credit union and community bank acquisition,
retention, and satisfaction. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence, not only within the financial industry but with higher education clients as well, forging strong client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions. The ideal
candidate will be an independent self-starter with a proven track record in B2B sales
leadership within the EduTech and/or FinTech sector with and a deep understanding of the start-up
environment. 

Responsibilities 

  • Sales Leadership: 
    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve
      revenue targets and market share growth within the banking and
      credit union sectors. 
    • Growing and maintaining a healthy sales funnel at all times 
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular
      reports to the executive team via KPI's in the context of the Goalsetter
      strategic plan. 
  • Client Solutions: 
    • Present the Goalsetter solution to clients, including product demos and
      sales presentations. 
    • Understand B2B customer needs and partner with the product,
      engineering and marketing teams to develop solutions that align with
      their objectives. 
    • Collaborate with Finance and Customer Success to ensure client
      solutions are profitable, innovative and effective. 
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
      with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of
      contact. 
  • Market Expansion: 
    • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth.
    • Determine key industry events that Goalsetter should have a presence
      at and collaborate with Marketing on effective strategies for Goalsetter
      to optimize sales. 
    • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitive
      landscape, and emerging technologies. 
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and
      networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: 
    • Work closely with the executive team to align sales strategies with
      overall business goals and long-term strategy. 
    • Communicate sales plans, progress, and challenges to stakeholders,
      ensuring transparency and alignment. 

Qualifications

  • This role will interface between Financial Institution CIO’s, CMO’s, Retail Leaders and decision makers in Colleges and Universities. 
  • Should be conversant in core banking terminology used by credit unions and community banks to communicate about their solutions. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in sales within the financial services industry, specifically working with banks and credit unions. 
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. 
  • Strong understanding of financial and educational technology solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically. 
  • Experience working in a startup environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
