Job description

RLG is an implementation firm that partners with clients to accelerate their improvement journey.

We implement transformative change through on-site coaching that shifts the processes and behaviours of leaders and teams to achieve their strategic and operational goals, connecting the front-line to the bottom line.

We are looking for experienced Implementation Consultants who can help expand our delivery capacity and maintain quality when workloads spike. You would be expected to facilitate team discussions and provide guidance and support to all organizational levels. We are seeking proactive and hands-on practitioners, who can demonstrate initiative, and thrive on working with people to enhance performance.

We would love to hear from you if you have proven experience across the oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, and manufacturing industries, in addition to experience in capital projects, reliability, maintenance, and turnarounds.

Project durations typically range from 6 to 12 months, and you can be based anywhere within the United States.

As a Consultant, you will:

  • Build trust-based relationships with clients to influence decision-making.
  • Guide clients to clarify their goals, objectives, and challenges.
  • Facilitate workshops, team discussions, and activities to help teams identify and solve key problems.
  • Use data and information to build client-centric frameworks that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the client organization—from the front line to senior leaders—to advance projects.
  • Proactively identify and address barriers to success, maintaining a positive and productive environment.
  • Engage directly with front-line leadership on specific focus areas, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
  • Expand your own technical, facilitation, and project management skills through intensive practice and hands-on coaching.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have familiarity with asset maturity/life cycle, such as construction or operations.
  • Are proactive and thrive on taking initiative to improve performance.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach and support front-line leaders while building rapport with senior leaders.
  • Can work independently at client sites and take ownership of deliverables while collaborating with your implementation team.
  • Enjoy continuous learning and have a growth mindset to adapt and excel in diverse environments.
  • Can communicate complex information in an accessible, easy-to-understand style and manner.
  • Are motivated to engage directly with front-line leadership and influence operational improvements.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of business principles, language, and value drivers.

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in coaching, consulting, or project management.
  • Proven experience in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, manufacturing, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with specialized areas such as reliability, maintenance, or capital projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree (a Master's degree is an asset).
  • Mobility to do weekly commutes or rotations.
  • Strong data analytics skills, including proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

We work hard to cultivate a culture of supportive learning and knowledge exchange within our offices and at our client sites. If you want to become part of a collaborative team that encourages personal and professional growth, understands the importance of work-life balance, and makes positive, impactful changes for clients, you’ve come to the right place.
