Roles & Responsibilities

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Texas state bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an attorney in a corporate legal department or law firm; large firm experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, and technology-related areas such as SaaS, mergers and acquisitions, and employment law.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts (SaaS agreements, software licenses, service agreements, nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and employment contracts).
  • Advise internal stakeholders on the legal aspects of SaaS transactions and technology-related contracts; support the General Counsel on related matters.
  • Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, and terminations to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact company operations and advise on necessary adjustments; contribute to internal policies and procedures related to contract management, regulatory compliance, and employment law.

What you will do…

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, service agreements, nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and employment contracts. 
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, align with company policies, and mitigate risk.
  • Support the General Counsel on advising internal stakeholders on the legal aspects of SaaS transactions and technology-related contracts. 
  • Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, and terminations to comply with labor laws. 
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact company operations and advise on necessary adjustments. 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to contract management, regulatory compliance, and employment law, providing day-to-day legal advice to various internal stakeholders. 
  • Be a key member of the legal team willing to step in and contribute where necessary to accomplish tasks and solve problems.   

What you bring… 

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 
  • Admission to and good standing with the Texas state bar. 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an attorney with a corporate legal department or law firm. 
  • Large firm experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, and other related areas of law. 
  • Knowledge of technology law, SaaS industry standards, mergers and acquisitions and employment law would be a plus. 
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve results.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.  
  • Experience with contract management software is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver under tight deadlines and energized by the opportunity to solve problems. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

Candidate must reside in Dallas or within a commutable distance from our Dallas office, as this is not a remote role. Axxess does not provide relocation assistance.
