Requirements:

  • Monitor transportation information flow and load boards in the Transportation Management System to ensure timely shipment arrangements
  • Manage team mailboxes and perform exception management per predefined processes; document and organize standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate customer calls and provide proactive updates; train external customer representatives on C.H. Robinson systems and meet operational metrics
  • Reconcile daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports; identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities within the team

Job description

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Logistics Representative to manage customer’s supply chain information and data within C.H. Robinson’s Transportation Management System. In this key position, you will act as an extension of the customer’s staff to ensure that all information flows properly and efficiently to ensure all transportation arrangements are made.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure Transportation arrangements are made for shipments by the following:
    • Monitoring customer load board and information flow in the Transportation Management System
    • Maintaining any team mailboxes
    • Performing relationship and knowledge-based exception management to any pre-defined processes
  • Document and organize existing standard operating processes
  • Learn multiple job functions within assigned team
  • Facilitate customer calls and updates, identify when an outgoing call is needed to offer proactive answers
  • Meet operational metrics
  • Conduct C.H.Robinson systems trainings to external C.H.Robinson customer representatives
  • Manage reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Make fact-based suggestions on how customers can achieve their goals in utilizing C.H.Robinson by understanding C.H.Robinson’s value proposition
  • Act as a resource and support for peers when needed
  • Understand and utilize C.H.Robinson’s project-based delivery model to find process improvements and cost savings within area of responsibility and/or team
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma and/or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or Logistics
  • Minimum 1 year of prior experience working with and troubleshooting information systems
  • Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion, including overtime hours when requested
  • Ability to travel up to 5% (domestic and/or international)
  • Site Specific: Fluent in English and the primary language of the applicable region
