INV Backend Engineer - Project Description & Agent Profile

Target Profile:

• 3+ years of experience in scalable backend systems in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Node.js, JavaScript, and Python, with an ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Experience deploying and maintaining containerized applications using Kubernetes (good to have) and Docker.
• Proficient with designing and consuming REST APIs, and working with frameworks like Express.js.
• Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with WebSockets, distributed systems, and modern Git-based workflows.
• Experience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is strongly preferred.

Project Overview & Deliverables:

• Container Orchestration: Build and deploy backend services using Docker and Kubernetes, you’ll deploy resilient, scalable deployments on GCP.
• Service Development: Develop performant APIs and backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and Python,and  WebSockets.
• Architecture & Integration: Contribute to the design of microservice-based, event-driven architectures that enable seamless system integrations and scalable product growth.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll design and deploy backend systems powering production-grade applications in a cloud-native, containerized environment. You’ll deploy robust APIs, orchestrate services with Kubernetes, and contribute to event-driven systems architecture. The project will deliver reliable infrastructure and performant backend capabilities.

We offer a pay range of $30+ per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed above. As a contractor you’ll supply a secure computer and high‑speed internet; company‑sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
