Roles & Responsibilities

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in high-tech electronics industry in system design or technical customer support roles with hands-on hardware design experience (schematics, board layout, power, thermal, mechanical)
  • Technical and analytical skills with the ability to drive issues across cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving environments
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and ability to multitask and coordinate priorities

Requirements:

  • Serve as a technical specialist for desktop workstation GPU products, partnering with sales to secure design wins and manage the full product lifecycle from design-in to end-of-life
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer engineers, architects, and decision-makers to ensure alignment on requirements and solutions
  • Identify customer architectures and key product needs in gaming and professional visualization markets, providing tailored hardware and software solutions, demos, and system designs
  • Deliver hands-on technical support and training, including onsite troubleshooting, sales enablement, and partner education to drive adoption

The Field Applications Engineering role targets desktop workstation system design specialists who envision transformative potential in accelerated computing for media, professional visualization, and photo-realistic graphics. NVIDIA is actively recruiting an exceptional FAE with expertise in desktop PC system design, particularly focused on GPU workloads in AI, graphic visualization, scalable visual displays, and gaming. Your responsibilities include engaging with customers, technical design, and ensuring positive experiences. Proficiency in stand-alone and embedded systems, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to new technologies are essential attributes for success. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serve as a technical specialist for desktop workstation GPU products, partnering with sales account managers to secure design wins and support the full product lifecycle from design-in to end-of-life.

  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer engineers, architects, and decision-makers at focus accounts, ensuring alignment on requirements and solutions.

  • Identify customer architectures and key product needs in gaming and professional visualization markets, providing tailored hardware and software solutions, demos, and system designs.

  • Deliver hands-on technical support and training, including onsite troubleshooting, sales enablement, and partner education to drive adoption and success.

  • Foster collaboration and communication with internal teams, ensuring seamless execution and alignment across technical and sales functions.

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years in high-tech electronics industry in system design or technical customer support roles, with hands-on hardware design expertise (schematics, board layout, power, thermal, mechanical).

  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, capable of driving technical issues across cross-functional teams and adapting to evolving environments.

  • Organizational & Multitasking Skills: Proven ability to manage time effectively, coordinate multiple priorities, and implement new technologies in complex projects.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and oral English skills for effective interaction with management, engineering teams, and customers.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • X86 and NVIDIA GPU Architecture: Experience in desktop PC/workstation environments.

  • Knowledge of PC industry standard specifications: PCI Express, USB, DisplayPort, and HDMI

  • Programming Skills: Proficient in C/C++ and Python.

  • Debugging Skills: Microsoft Windows debugging (driver, kernel) is advantageous.

  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in hardware design, platform setup, and application profiling.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 132,000 USD - 207,000 USD for Level 3, and 160,000 USD - 253,000 USD for Level 4.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
