What You’ll Do

Ascent Global Logistics is seeking a motivated and experienced Independent Freight Broker Agent to join our logistics team. As an agent operating under our licensed brokerage, you will be responsible for sourcing clients, managing freight shipments, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation solutions. This is a commission-only independent contractor role with unlimited earning potential and flexible scheduling.

Key Deliverables

• Source and develop relationships with shippers and carriers
• Secure freight contracts and negotiate competitive rates
• Match loads with qualified carriers using load boards and network contacts
• Prepare and manage all necessary documentation (rate confirmations, BOLs, etc.)
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
• Resolve any service issues or delays quickly and professionally
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications
• Utilize TMS and load board software to manage freight operation

What You’ll Bring

• Must have a current and transferrable book of business

• Knowledge of freight industry and logistics processes

• Familiarity with TMS software and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop)
• U.S. Residence is a role requirement
