Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Field Inspector primary role will be to perform inspection for all heavy equipment and trucks. Core responsibilities will be to use the inspector application to collect information and capture quality images for various equipment and inspection types. The position requires proficient equipment operator experience, comprehensive understanding of common and specialized equipment types, and the ability to professionally communicate with sales staff and external customers for effective inspection processing. Inspectors will have daily interaction with Inspection Liaisons & other regional inspectors to prioritize workflow in a team environment. Additional responsibilities involve acting as a lead onsite coordinator for large remote sales and acting as a mentor for junior-level inspectors.

  • Coordinate and/or perform tasks to prepare equipment for inspection
  • Create strategic routes that drive overall efficiency for remote inspections
  • Support auction day activities

Here’s What You Bring

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred
  • Accreditations to support industry specific experience are a plus

This Job Will Require You To

  • Navigate unique equipment types to select proper inspection checklist that drive content accuracy
  • Make equipment condition assessments and provide thorough information to best describe
  • Action inspection type upgrades or downgrades to align with equipment condition when warranted
  • Communicate and resolve equipment identification and readiness issues
  • Navigate and resolve technical concerns related to inspector app and inspection content processing
  • Organize daily tasks in a manner that drive effective sale processing for heavy equipment and trucks
