Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Design UX across Thrive AI core objects (Brands, Design Books, Business Lines, Elements, and Assets) and deliver user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, and interactive Figma prototypes; support onboarding and AI-assisted editing
  • Maintain and contribute to the Thrive AI design system; ensure consistency across dashboards, creation wizards, asset grids and detail views, and AI prompt/response panels
  • Design AI-assisted UX including prompts, suggestions, previews, and apply/retry flows; leverage AI-enabled design tools to accelerate ideation and ensure outputs are understandable and editable
  • Collaborate asynchronously with Product and Engineering; deliver well-structured Figma files suitable for handoff and iterate based on feedback

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Level 2 UI/UX Designer (Contract) to support active product development across Thrive AI. This is a hands-on execution role with ownership of defined product areas. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver clear, implementation-ready designs for AI-powered workflows.

This role is ideal for a designer who is highly proficient in Figma, comfortable working independently, and effective in a fully remote, distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product & UX Execution

  • Design user experiences across Thrive AI’s core objects:
    • Brands, Design Books, Business Lines, Elements, and Assets
  • Deliver:
    • User flows
    • Wireframes
    • High-fidelity UI designs
    • Interactive Figma prototypes
  • Support complex workflows including onboarding, asset creation, and AI-assisted editing

Design Systems & Consistency

  • Work within the existing Thrive AI design system
  • Apply consistent patterns across:
    • Dashboards
    • Creation wizards
    • Asset grids and detail views
    • AI prompt and response panels
  • Contribute to reusable components and pattern refinement as needed

AI-Assisted Design

  • Design intuitive UX for AI interactions (prompting, suggestions, previews, apply/retry flows)
  • Leverage AI-enabled design tools to accelerate ideation and iteration
  • Ensure AI-generated outputs are understandable, reviewable, and editable by users

Remote Collaboration & Handoff

  • Collaborate asynchronously with Product and Engineering
  • Deliver well-structured Figma files suitable for direct engineering handoff
  • Iterate efficiently based on written feedback, reviews, and product requirements

What You Bring To This Role:

Must-Have

  • Expert-level Figma proficiency (required)
    • Components, variants, auto-layout, design systems, prototyping
  • 3–5 years of UI/UX or product design experience
  • Experience working in contract and/or remote-first roles
  • Strong ability to manage work independently with clear communication

Product Design Skills

  • Strong UX fundamentals (usability, hierarchy, interaction design)
  • Experience designing SaaS or workflow-driven applications
  • Ability to balance speed, clarity, and quality in a delivery-focused environment

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with AI-assisted design tools, such as:
    • Figma AI features
    • Lovable
    • Similar generative or copilot-style tools
  • Familiarity with AI-driven products or content creation platforms
  • Basic understanding of frontend constraints (React, component-based UI)
  • Comfortable working from written specs and async feedback

  • Engineers can build directly from your Figma files with minimal clarification
  • AI-driven experiences feel intuitive and well-integrated
