Roles & Responsibilities

  • BS or MS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry, including license renewal
  • Working knowledge of NRC regulations and guidance for licensing and license renewal of nuclear power plants
  • PE license is beneficial

Requirements:

  • Lead and execute licensing projects for permits and licenses for nuclear facilities, including new reactor power plants, medical isotope facilities, and/or fuel cycle facilities
  • Coordinate the development of license amendment requests and 10 CFR 50.59 safety evaluations
  • Interpret NRC regulations and guidance to support licensing strategies and regulatory compliance
  • Engage with clients and internal teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities

Description:
  • This is a senior level engineering position that will provide you with opportunities for client interface and business development in addition to project work execution responsibilities
  • You will be involved in development of applications for permits and license for new reactor power plants, medical isotope facilities and/or fuel cycle facilities.  
  • The work could also involve coordinating the development of license amendment requests and 10 CFR 50.59 safety evaluations and the interpretation of NRC regulations and guidance.

Compensation Range: $142,710.00 - $215,440.00 Transparency Statement: Sargent & Lundy discloses compensation ranges that comply with all local and state regulations. The total compensation package for eligible positions will include a base salary or an hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package, reflecting our commitment to rewarding performance and supporting the overall well-being of our employees.
