Requirements:

  • Provide Service Desk support by managing tickets and calls, delivering clear updates, meeting SLAs, and escalating when required
  • Assist in Signage Implementation and maintenance under the guidance of lead engineers for digital signage solutions
  • Serve as the Level 1 engineering contact for PQMS and DX5 platforms, identifying and resolving front-end (React) and back-end (Java) issues
  • Perform remote hardware troubleshooting on Windows-based environments for displays and kiosks, ensuring peripheral connectivity and stability

Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious Junior Full Stack Developer, with 2 years of experience, to join our growing engineering team. This is a high-impact, foundational role designed for a junior engineer who has a deep appetite for learning and a passion for problem-solving. You will be the first point of contact for technical triage, supporting our signage implementations and providing Level 1 engineering support for our flagship PQMS and DX5 platforms. Your goal is to become an expert in our systems, enabling you to resolve issues and collaborate with BAs independently, escalating to Senior Engineers only when necessary.

What You'll Do:



  • You will play both active project implementation and ongoing platform support.
  • Service Desk Support: Ensure support requests (tickets and calls) are managed professionally with clear updates and expectations set during investigations and resolutions. Escalate when required and ensure that SLAs are met.
  • Signage & Implementation Support: Work directly under the guidance of our lead engineers to support the rollout and maintenance of digital signage solutions.
  • Level 1 Engineering Support: Act as the primary technical contact for our PQMS and DX5 platforms, identifying and resolving front-end (React) and back-end (Java) issues and reporting requests.
  • Remote Hardware Troubleshooting: Manage and troubleshoot the Windows based environments that run our software on calling displays and kiosks, ensuring peripheral connectivity and stability.
  • Secure Remote Management: Utilize VPNs and remote desktop tools to manage distributed hardware assets across various client sites securely.
  • Technical Triage: Collaborate directly with Business Analysts to investigate reported bugs and user issues. You will perform the initial "deep dive" into the code and logs to identify root causes.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Base: Document common issues and solutions to build out our internal support knowledge base, streamlining future triage.
  • Continuous Learning: Rapidly upskill in Java, Spring Boot, React, and Kotlin to transition from triage to active feature development over time.

Key Requirements:



  • Windows Software & Hardware Mastery: Strong knowledge of the Windows OS ecosystem, including software installation, driver management, and troubleshooting hardware components (displays, kiosks, and peripherals).
  • Networking & VPNs: Practical experience working with VPN technologies and a solid understanding of remote connectivity, firewalls, and basic networking troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to Java: A solid understanding of Java fundamentals. Familiarity with Spring Boot or Kotlin is a significant advantage.
  • Front-End Basics: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Exposure to React.js during university projects or internships is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong logical reasoning skills with the ability to look at a system failure and systematically narrow down the cause.
  • Version Control: Basic familiarity with Git (cloning repositories, branching, and pushing code).
  • Database Awareness: Fundamental understanding of SQL and how to query databases to extract information.

Nice-to-Haves:


  • Experience with Docker or basic understanding of containerization.
  • Familiarity with Jira for ticket management.
  • Previous experience in a technical support or customer-facing role.
  • Exposure to cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
