Requirements:

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain FAA-aligned airworthiness and maintenance program training for USAF and contractor personnel across operational bases, heavy maintenance bases, and supply chain organizations; provide KC-46 MCDA foundational and advanced training
  • Train personnel on CAMP and CASS, including all ten elements, roles, audit processes, corrective action management, and data-driven performance analysis
  • Provide Airworthiness Engineering Decision Support training covering engineering authorizations, configuration management, and modification/alteration tracking; ensure compliance with FAA Aircraft Type Certificates and STCs
  • Support depot, back-shop, and organic capability stand-up and regulatory integration, including training on CMM evaluation, tooling, support equipment, logistics gaps, and LCMP-IDE / PFMT usage

Job description

AVTECH Global is seeking a highly experienced Airworthiness & Maintenance Program Trainer.

Position Purpose:

This position will support the United States Air Force (USAF) KC-46 Weapon System Enterprise by the following: delivering FAA-aligned airworthiness and maintenance program training to USAF personnel, contractors, and approved service providers across the KC-46 lifecycle; and supporting organically managed FAA airworthiness certification for a Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA).

The trainer will develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive training aligned with Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programs (CAMP) and Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS), ensuring sustained compliance with FAA regulations, USAF instructions, and approved maintenance program requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Training Development & Delivery
    • Conduct recurrent reviews and updates to training materials to ensure regulatory, technical, and operational currency.
    • Develop, deliver, and maintain FAA-aligned airworthiness and maintenance program training for USAF and contractor personnel across operational bases, heavy maintenance bases and supply chain organizations.
    • Provide KC-46 MCDA foundational and advanced training.
  • CAMP & CASS Instruction
    • Train personnel on all ten elements of the CAMP, including:
      • Airworthiness Responsibility,
      • Maintenance Manuals,
      • Maintenance Organization,
      • Accomplishment and Approval of Maintenance and Alterations,
      • Maintenance Schedule,
      • Required Inspection Items (RII),
      • Maintenance Recordkeeping,
      • Contract Maintenance,
      • Personnel Training,
      • Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS).
    • Deliver training on CASS roles, responsibilities, audit processes, corrective action management, and data-driven performance analysis.
  • Airworthiness & Engineering Decision Support Training
    • Deliver training supporting:
      • Engineering Authorizations in a line maintenance environment,
      • Engineering Authorizations for heavy maintenance operations,
      • Configuration management,
      • Modification/Alteration implementation and tracking.
    • Train personnel on compliance requirements associated with FAA Aircraft Type Certificates, and Supplemental Type Certificates (STC).
  • Depot, Back-Shop, and Organic Capability Stand-Up
    • Provide training and recommendations supporting the stand-up and sustainment of USAF organic back-shop capabilities.
    • Train on evaluation of Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), equivalency requests, tooling, support equipment, and logistics gaps.
  • Technical & Regulatory Integration
    • Train and advise on the interpretation and application of FAA regulations, USAF instructions, technical data, and engineering documentation including:
      • AMMs, SRMs, CMMs, NDI manuals,
      • ICAs, MEL, DDG,
      • TCTOs, SARB data items, DRs.
    • Support training related to LCMP-IDE / Pegasus Fleet Management Tool (PFMT) usage for MTI effectiveness.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Minimum 15+ years experience supporting commercial aviation operator or maintenance organization in an engineering or compliance role.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAA airworthiness regulations (14 CFR Parts 121, 145).
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programs (CAMP),
    • Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Systems (CASS).
  • Proven experience developing and delivering technical training to military, civilian, and contractor audiences.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs, aviation engineering, and maintenance operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel on-site to our client(s) location at least once per month.


Compensation will be determined based upon experience, qualifications, etc.
