Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience and expertise in ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1 and high-temperature applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent program from an accredited university.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience; PE desired, with potential degree substitution for an advanced degree depending on relevance.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams; high integrity and teamwork orientation.

Requirements:

  • Perform structural joint configuration evaluation and optimization using client's models and methods.
  • Conduct non-record evaluations of various configurations and joints to assess modifications' benefits or alternative changes to employ.
  • Collaborate with the client's component design leads and analysis engineers to evaluate specific component issues and perform analyses to ASME BPVC Section III code methods and allowables, providing insights and feedback to design teams for action.
  • Perform follow-on scope for preparation and/or Design Verification of ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1 and Division 5 stress, creep and fatigue analyses (HBB, HGB, NF).

Job description


Our client is seeking a Contractor to perform mechanical stress analyses including mechanical and thermal stress, fatigue, creep, and/or creep fatigue

Tasks:

  • Perform structural joint configuration evaluation and optimization using client's models and methods
  • Perform non-record evaluations of various configurations and joints to assess the benefit of modifications or evaluate alternative changes to employ
  • Work with client's component design leads and analysis engineers to evaluate specific component issues, perform analyses to ASME BPVC Section III code methods and allowables, and provide insights and feedback to design teams for action
  • Perform follow-on scope for preparation and/or Design Verification of ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1 and Division 5 stress, creep and fatigue analysis – HBB, HGB, and NF
  • Use existing models and methods defined by the client's Natrium analysis team and work inside the client's analysis suite
  • Qualification indoctrination to client's quality program to perform preparation or verification activities

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience and expertise in ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1 and high temperature applications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant equivalent program from an accredited university
  • Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience. Experience level may be partially substituted for advanced degree depending on position relevance, PE desired.
  • Strong communication skills desired.
  • The service provider will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.
