  • On-site availability in Denver, CO for a contract position
  • Experience staging and provisioning large-scale switch deployments (e.g., hundreds of devices)
  • Familiarity with Aruba Central and connectivity verification via DHCP or static IP

Requirements:

  • Gather refresh switches and stage 348 switches, unbox and set up in staging area while preserving containers
  • Configure hardware including stacking cables and SFPs, perform power-on and initial operational tests, and identify failures for RMA
  • Console into devices and apply initial configuration; verify connectivity to Aruba Central via DHCP or static IP from Denver DC
  • Power down, rebox equipment, and label boxes with site information for shipment

Job Description:

Requirements:

- Gather refresh switches (6300)

- Unbox and setup in the staging area (save containers).

- Configure hardware (stacking cables, SFP’s as needed).

- Power up and initial operational test (failures to be identified and RMA generated ASAP).

- Console in and apply initial config.

- Verify connection to Aruba Central (must be configured for DHCP and have access to Central or static ip with access from Denver DC).

- After verification, power down and rebox the equipment. Label Box with Site information (USGS to supply labels and info).
