Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join our growing team.

We build complex systems in a cloud-native environment, using a microservices architecture, connecting with myriad external systems, responding to a problem space that changes constantly. We're a .NET shop and we leverage Azure's offerings across the board.

You'll be working closely with software engineers and leadership in managing our growing infrastructure. At the same time, you'll be a one-person team. You're expected to bring expertise and experience across the entire infrastructure stack. And to be able to make good, independent decisions on what to use, where to use it, and how to remain cost-effective.

This is a senior-level position. To be considered, you must have a strong background in most of the following (with Azure-specific experience a requirement):

• Docker

• Kubernetes

• Helm

• Argocd

• Azure Functions / KEDA

• Azure DevOps pipelines and artifacts

• CI/CD

• GitOps and IaC, including:

  • Terraform

  • Pulumi

• Python

• Azure Storage Queues and Azure Service Bus

• CosmosDB

• MySQL / Postgres

• Azure Active Directory

• .NET core

• Cloud networking (VNets, peering, firewalling, VPN)

• Linux sysadmin and bash

• Service mesh (Istio, etc)

You'll be responsible for managing .NET Core deployments in a k8s environment, with Linux base containers. You must be equally comfortable in Microsoft technologies (Azure cloud and .NET core) and Linux environments.

It's a plus if you're also familiarized with Microsoft's O365 stack, and if you've done large-scale data warehousing deployments.
