Apply DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers, orchestration) and collaborate in Scrum teams to deliver data platform enhancements

Job description

We are looking for a CDP Cloud/ Infra Engineer (Data and Analytics)

Within the IT and Data department, the Data and Analytics team (DnA) employs over 140 data professionals. Expertise includes AI and ML, Business intelligence as well as data analytics. With the Core Data Platform team, they lay the data foundation for both the data and the colleagues to act on. They do this by ensuring there is reliable and timely data available in their data lake. In order to keep the data lake functioning and keep adhering to the latest technological and organizational standards.

You and your profile:

You have a BSc or MSc in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.);
You have at least six (6) years of experience in provisioning cloud infrastructure. At least three (3) years in a Microsoft Azure/ Databricks environment. At least three years of experience in the distributed data environment. Potential candidates are requested to explicitly state this in their application. These two hard requirements may be gained by overlapping in the same assignments;
Your experience includes deployment and management of data pipelines;
At least, two of the below:
Professional experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka or Azure EventHub);
Professional experience with Spark, implementing both batch and streaming pipelines;
You recognize the importance of logging and monitoring (we currently use DataDog, but are migrating to Splunk);
Azure network knowledge (private endpoints, DNS, VNets, Bastion hosts);
Experience with Unity Catalog is a pre;
You are comfortable working with the latest DevOps principles like CICD, containers, and orchestration;
Professional experience with Scrum;
You are fluent in English.
