Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant direction (B ICT) with substantive knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud design patterns.
  • Minimum of 2 AWS certifications (Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Engineer and/or Specialty AWS Certifications).
  • At least 4 years of AWS development experience and 4+ years in Agile/Scrum.
  • Proficiency in Python or Node.js, with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD; experience with Azure DevOps.

Requirements:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain the AWS platform for the client.
  • Develop security and compliance controls for the client's AWS environment and secure customer and bank data through automated security compliance.
  • Assist DevOps teams in their journey to the cloud and help leverage the AWS platform to deliver faster, more reliable, and secure services.
  • Work in Scrum teams and participate in rotating standby shifts within the Engineering Platforms AWS team.

As a Cloud Engineer, you make a difference and real impact by driving the adoption of Cloud Native Application Designs within This client. You do this with your colleagues in the Engineering Platforms team by working together with the DevOps teams. By doing so, they bring services to their customers in a faster, more reliable, and more secure way.

This transition requires knowledge, an open attitude, and cultural change within the organization. As a cloud engineer within the Engineering Platforms AWS, you can help to bring about this change by developing, managing, and maintenance of the AWS platform for this client developing security and compliance controls for this client's AWS environment securing customer and bank data through automated security compliance helping DevOps teams in their journey to the cloud. Standby shift that will rotate within the team. Work in scrum teams and work together for the best result

Your technology stack consists of:

  • Program/scripting languages, preferably Python
  • AWS CloudFormation, IAM, Lambda
  • Cloud monitoring solutions (AWS CloudTrail, AWS Cloudwatch, AWS SecurityHub)
  • CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure DevOps

    This Team is the lead of our global Cloud Transformation. One of the goals of this team is to double the speed of development. We provide a secure and easy way for DevOps teams within the bank to leverage the AWS Cloud. In addition, we have weekly contact with the DevOps teams to understand their challenges and share knowledge.

    This Client is transitioning to a Cloud-first environment, providing a lot of fun challenges and opportunities. Think of the Datastore application that provides insight into account transactions up to 10 years back for Dutch retail customers.

    With you as a Cloud Engineer, the counter of the team stands at over 30 eager colleagues including Menno, Cloud Engineer: It is incredibly inspiring to be involved in such a fundamental change in the client IT landscape. We have a huge responsibility to make Public Cloud work within This client and a challenge to lay the foundation for This client's IT of the future.

    With your Talents, It is logical that customer orientation, enthusiasm, and an unstoppable hunger for new knowledge are indispensable for this function. In addition, it is important that you recognize everything on the checklist below:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant direction (B ICT)
  • Substantive knowledge when it comes to Cloud technologies & Cloud design patterns.
  • Minimum of 2 AWS certifications (Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Engineer and/or Specialty AWS Certifications)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with AWS development
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with the Agile Way of Working (Scrum)
  • Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, node.js. DevOps practices, Git.
  • Cloud monitoring solutions (AWS CloudTrail, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub) CI/CD: Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
  • Has experience with Azure DevOps (previously known as VSTS),
  • Experienced in AWS Deployment Framework, CloudFormation, IAM, Lambda
