Roles & Responsibilities

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, process engineering, marine engineering, or a comparable qualification (master's degree or diploma).
  • Strong teamwork and independent work capability with good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Offshore suitability according to the AWMF standard (or willingness to obtain it).
  • Excellent technical understanding and ability to interface with internal and external project stakeholders (engineers, operators, suppliers).

Requirements:

  • Act as the central contact for technical and economic issues across the asset life cycle, representing asset management to operating engineers and project managers and coordinating with manufacturers, operators, and suppliers.
  • Draw up, update, and continuously improve maintenance strategies and technical specifications while accounting for legal, official, and trade association requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate risks from operation and aging of equipment, and develop and implement measures to mitigate risks in close cooperation with Offshore Operations.
  • Prepare tender documents, supervise bidding processes, coordinate project execution (technical clarifications, evaluations, pre-qualifications, tests, inspections, commissioning) and participate in negotiations for future offshore platforms.

Job purpose and impact:

  • Supporting the responsible specialist areas of operations and projects in solving technical problems that involve a high degree of technical complexity and whose solution requires special and in-depth expertise.
  • Central contact person for all technical and economic issues in the asset life cycle and representation of the concerns of asset management vis-à-vis the operating engineers and project managers in the area of offshore platforms.
  • You take over the interface function to manufacturers, operators, and suppliers for your area of responsibility.
  • Independent handling of matters for your area is also part of your duties, as is the extensive responsibility for the constant support and further development of important processes in asset management.
  • Drawing up, updating, and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies and technical specifications, taking into account legal, official, and trade association requirements.
  • The identification and evaluation of risks resulting from the operation and aging of the operating equipment is also part of your strategic responsibilities.
  • The development and implementation of measures to avoid or minimize risks require constant and close cooperation with the organizational units of "Offshore Operations.
  • You are responsible for the preparation of tender documents, supervision of the bidding processes, and coordination of tasks during project execution (technical clarification and evaluation of technical concepts, pre-qualifications, acceptances, tests, inspections, commissioning, etc.) for your area of responsibility.
  • Participation in negotiations for future offshore platforms is also part of your responsibilities.

Your Profile:

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, process engineering, marine engineering, or a comparable qualification (with a master's degree or diploma).
  • Distinct ability to work in a team.
  • You enjoy working freely and independently in your own area of responsibility.
  • You can ideally prove your suitability for offshore assignments according to the AWMF standard or are willing to acquire this suitability.
  • You like to work independently and are goal-oriented, think entrepreneurially, and enjoy working in a team.
  • You have a good technical understanding and are confident in dealing with external and internal employees of the project organization and operations, and have strong negotiating and communication skills.
