Job description

Regional NSW Residential or DIDO opportunity.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, the purpose of this role is to provide technical assistance to the mining operations department including the geology, survey, geotechnical engineering teams for the purpose of ensuring that safe and efficient mining practices are communicated and executed.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Preparing and presenting short- and medium-term open pit mining schedules to achieve budget
  • Supporting the Senior Mining Engineer with mine scheduling and budgeting
  • Ensuring all new designs and updates are well communicated with relevant stakeholders
  • Liaising with stakeholders providing appropriate technical information to carry out the mine plan Producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports and reconciliations
  • Analyzing production information to evaluate mine production against plans for continuous improvement
  • Assisting with mining projects from planning to execution
  • Commitment to living and supporting the Evolution values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, Respect
  • Leading a safety culture of continuous improvement and playing an active role in our Net Zero 2050 goal

To be considered you will demonstrate/ possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Long-term planning experience would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to Open Pit Drill and Blast advantageous
  • Experienced user of Deswik including Deswik Scheduler
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
