Accountant

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected consulting firm based in Honolulu, seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, tackling unique financial challenges in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Assist with tax preparation and filings for businesses.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial processes.
• Support audits and compliance reviews for various clients.
• Maintain accurate and organized records for multiple client accounts.
• Utilize accounting software to manage and streamline accounting tasks.
• Communicate regularly with clients to understand and address their financial needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional accounting experience; experience in public accounting is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
