Requirements:

  • Provide oversight for multiple Workday Finance projects across the practice, acting as a trusted advisor to project teams and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Lead customer design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and client business requirements.
  • Guide the client through all project phases, including migration from legacy systems to Workday Financials, while maintaining clear communication with the client and project team.
  • Mentor junior consultants, contribute hands-on configuration (tenant-to-tenant moves, security setup), and participate in Delivery Assurance and leadership activities as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join our Workday Finance Practice. This individual will be a core member of the finance leadership team, playing a dual role as both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor. The ideal candidate will bring deep Workday Finance expertise, lead multiple projects as a solution architect, and drive excellence in delivery, people development, and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Provide oversight for multiple Workday Finance projects across the practice.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to project teams, identifying risks, resolving issues, and ensuring successful delivery.
     

Sales & Business Development

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work.

  • Support orals.
     

Project Work
 

       •      Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.

      •       Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday Financials solution.

      •       Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team, and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.

      •       Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.

      •       Display your hands-on expertise of the software, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
      •      Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.

Education and Experience Required:

•     Possess 3-5 years of Workday (or other ERP) Consulting implementation experience.
•      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

•      Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work    environments.

•      Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.

•      Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.
