Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Behavior Specialist to support students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs. The role focuses on developing and implementing evidence-based behavior intervention strategies to promote positive learning outcomes and inclusive classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess student behavior and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Implement and monitor Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, counselors, and school administrators
  • Support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and emotional/behavioral challenges
  • Provide direct behavioral support in classroom and one-on-one settings
  • Track, analyze, and report student progress using data-driven methods
  • Train and coach teachers and support staff on behavior management techniques
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized goals
  • Ensure compliance with special education policies and ethical standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of special education behavior management strategies
  • Experience with ABA techniques, positive behavior supports, and classroom interventions
  • Ability to conduct behavioral assessments and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving abilities

Education & Experience
