Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Coordinator to partner with our Director of Business Development in supporting customers. This role provides critical sales support through creative product sourcing, presentation development, order management, and customer service allowing the Director to focus on business development and client relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with the Director of Business Development to understand customer needs and project requirements
Research and source appropriate products for events, giveaways, employee appreciation programs, and promotional initiatives
Create compelling, professional presentations and proposals for customer meetings
Stay current on industry trends, new products, and supplier capabilities to provide informed recommendations
Utilize industry tools and supplier networks to identify best-fit products
Research pricing, availability, and production timelines
Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
Evaluate product quality and decoration options
Create new items and customer records in NetSuite
Utilize NetSuite CRM features to document customer interactions and track opportunities
Generate, send, and follow up on purchase orders to suppliers
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for customer questions and order status updates
Coordinate order logistics and resolve any issues through delivery
Ensure accurate order details and on-time fulfillment
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience working for a promotional products distributor (required)
Strong knowledge of the promotional products industry, suppliers, and sourcing tools
Proven ability to create professional customer presentations
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Customer service mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NetSuite ERP/CRM system
Knowledge of decoration methods (embroidery, screen printing, laser engraving, etc.)
Established supplier relationships in the promotional products industry
Experience supporting sales leadership or business development teams
