Job description

Title: DevOps/Platform Engineer

Location: Remote across India (works US Pacific hours)

Type: Full-time

About the Company:
Zenara Health is a technology-driven mental health care company dedicated to transforming access and quality of mental wellness services. The company combines AI-powered platforms with expert clinical care to deliver personalized, effective mental health solutions. Zenara Health strives to innovate and improve mental health outcomes by connecting patients and providers through a seamless digital experience.

Role Brief: Own feature-branch previews, CI/CD pipelines, environment parity, observability, and HIPAA-ready security hygiene under a shared responsibility model. You’ll enable safe, reliable, and efficient deployment workflows while empowering engineers to ship confidently.

Values & Vibe (Who You Are)

We want a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who thrives on automation, reliability, and security. You love building CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and secure environments that allow teams to move quickly without risk. You communicate clearly with both engineers and product teams and take ownership of processes end-to-end.

A Day in Flow (The Feel, Not a Script)

  • Morning: review pipeline and environment health dashboards, monitor alerts for errors, timeouts, or cost anomalies.
  • During sprints: configure feature-branch previews, manage secrets vaults, enforce access controls, and ensure audit trails are complete.
  • Afternoon: implement IaC changes (Terraform/Bicep), document processes, troubleshoot rollbacks, and update monitoring dashboards. Quiet impact, zero drama.

What You’ll Own

  • Feature-Branch Previews & CI/CD: Configure Azure Pipelines/GitHub Actions to automatically post preview URLs to PRs.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement Terraform/Bicep scripts for consistent, repeatable deployments.
  • Secrets & Access Controls: Manage secrets vaults, enforce access policies, and maintain audit trails.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Monitor for timeouts, cost anomalies, and errors; implement rollback discipline.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work with engineers to ensure deployments are reliable, repeatable, and HIPAA-compliant.

Authority (Ramped on Purpose)

You’ll own deployment pipelines and environment safety for projects you touch. Scope ramps as you deliver: enforce CI/CD best practices, maintain security hygiene, and ensure observability and rollback processes are robust.

Schedule (India)

Works daytime hours with 4–8 hours of overlap to US Pacific (e.g., 11:00am–7:00pm CT / 9:00am–5:00pm PT), with flexibility for critical deployments, monitoring, or incident responses.

What Success Looks Like

  • Feature-branch previews reliably appear on PRs with minimal friction.
  • CI/CD pipelines run smoothly, securely, and predictably.
  • Secrets and access controls are correctly managed and audited.
  • Observability dashboards catch issues proactively, reducing downtime.
  • Teams ship features confidently without security or deployment risk.

Requirements

What You’ve Done:

  • 4+ years in DevOps/platform engineering with Azure, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), and observability stacks.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, feature-branch previews, and automated PR workflows.
  • Expertise managing secrets, access controls, and audit trails.
  • Proven ability to monitor and respond to errors, timeouts, and cost anomalies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams.
  • Preferred: HIPAA or healthcare IT experience, cloud infrastructure optimization, and rollback/incident response expertise.

Benefits

  • Remote-first across India
  • Equipment stipend
  • Local holidays (India)
  • Learning budget for DevOps, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and observability
