Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or 1-2 years of related experience in Networking, Cybersecurity or IT Infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • AWS cloud experience with focus on PaaS and Cloud Native offerings (1-2 years).
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell and/or Bash; experience with automated CI/CD pipelines and tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Manage cloud-based systems and applications for Transact's QuickCharge as SME, focusing on automation, monitoring, and error recovery to meet 99.9% uptime in AWS Production and UAT.
  • Deploy updates to in-house apps, third-party tools, and operating systems; configure environments per client needs; perform user account management per internal policies.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and manage vendor support cases to address incidents; communicate issues to management and stakeholders; ensure compliance with Transact's Information Security Policy, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI Level 1.
  • Maintain patches/upgrades, resolve production interruptions, support data collection for issue analysis, and contribute to monitoring/notification automation.

We are currently searching for qualified candidates for a Cloud Application Administrator position. Please see the details below:

Title: Cloud Application Administrator

Location: Chennai, India (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

The Cloud Application Administrator is responsible for managing systems, applications, and operational procedures. The successful candidate will be assigned to Transact’s QuickCharge application to become an SME for that product. Areas of focus for automation include routine tasks, monitoring and notification creation, and error recovery to meet 99.9% 24/7 uptime requirements for all resources that make up our AWS Production and UAT environments. Responsibilities will include timely issue resolution for production interruptions; maintenance of applications through patches or upgrades; assisting the Support group with issue identification and data collection; and reporting of all issues to management and key stakeholders.

Candidate must have strong communication and technical skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment. They must possess a desire to gain a deeper understanding of how each system and technology reacts to environmental changes and how this impacts usability. The ability to handle aggressive timelines and focus under pressure is a must.

  • Manager application availability to performance standards
  • Deploy updates to internally developed applications, third party tools, and operating systems to necessary environments
  • Implement request for environment updates
  • Configure applications based upon client need
  • Perform necessary user account management duties for designated resources in accordance with internal policies
  • Participate in after hours on call rotation
  • Manage vendor support cases to address incidents
  • Ensure managed environments follow Transact's Information Security Policy
  • Support SOC 2 Types II and PCI Level 1 compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or 1-2 years of related experience in Networking, Cybersecurity or IT Infrastructure industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Security Information Event Management
  • Proven propensity to learn new technologies and skills quickly
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • AWS clous experience with a focus on PaaS and Cloud Native offering, 1-2 years
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell and/or bash
  • Experience supporting 24x7production services
  • Experience with automated CI/DC pipelines and tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Desire to continuously learn
  • Strong problem solving skills
