System Analyst / UML Expert

For a project on behalf of an organization related to defense of borders of the European Union, we are currently looking for a:

System Analyst / UML Expert

• long-term project
• remote work possible

Key requirements:

• At least 1st cycle of higher education (equivalent with relevant professional experience in the domain of at least 6 years)
• Has got at least 6 years hand on experience in systems analysis
• Has gone at least 2 times through the complete life cycle of the software solution
• Expert in UML
• Knows how to develop Application and Data Architectures and its elements
• Knows system development methodologies
• Knows specifics and limitations of the following technologies of the IoT
• Is proficient in using systems modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others
• Understands border management and border surveillance domains
• Expert in systems analysis in the domain of the IoT
• Presents excellent communication skills
• Holds ability to document effectively
• Presents problem solving skills
• Presents excellent command of English, at least at C1 level
  

Nice to have: 

• OMG5 Certified UML Professional certificate at intermediate level (equivalent with relevant professional experience in the domain of at least 5 years)

Responsibilities:

• Analyses business processes, capabilities, functional requirements and user stories
• Transfers requirements and user stories into system design and specifications
• Models and documents Application and Data Architectures and its elements: logical data model, system roles, use cases, acceptance criteria, system logic and UI prototypes in cooperation with GUI specialist
• Supports business experts and product owners during definition of requirements and software development
• Contributes to systems prototyping, design, testing, quality assurance, change management
• Maintains the analitical repository (EA)
• Identifies opportunities for potential solutions
• Cooperates closely with the Business Analyst and Product Owner to clarify any substantial and technical difficulties
• Prepares system documentation
• Provides presentations and trainings to business users (including training materials)
