In this exciting role, you’ll be at the heart of designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend solutions. You’ll collaborate with a passionate group of cross-functional teams to craft innovative, enterprise-grade software that solves real-world problems and powers our most important projects.

We’re looking for someone who brings experience in Java, a  background with development frameworks and third-party libraries, and a proven ability to deliver top-tier solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Location: This is a remote position, however, we are only looking for candidates who are based in British Columbia.

What You’ll Do: 

• Work directly with our clients to gather requirements, design and architect a robust SAP solutions using our product, DocuFlow
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality backend solutions in Java 
• Design, implement, and maintain Java-based backend systems and APIs. 
• Optimize and enhance existing backend infrastructure for improved performance, stability and scalability.  
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions. 
• Contribute to the entire development lifecycle, maintaining high standards for code, technical documentation and deliverables 
• Work in an agile development environment 
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to propose innovative solutions. 

Who You’ll Be:  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• 8+ years in a Backend Development Java role with solid understanding of J2EE technologies 
• Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
  
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
  
• Experience writing technical documentation and software architecture
  
• Knowledge of database design and optimization (SQL, NoSQL).
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Ability to work in an independent and collaborative work environment 

Nice To Haves:  

• Experience with microservices architecture. 
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. 
• Previous experience in a managed services environment
