About the Role
We're looking for a Frontend Angular Lead who can architect, modernize, and guide the evolution of our large-scale Angular applications. You'll be responsible for setting the technical direction, mentoring the team, and ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability of the frontend.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of a large, modular Angular application.
- Define and implement modular design patterns, lazy-loaded routes, and performance budgets.
- Drive the migration from Angular 10+ to the latest versions (standalone components, signals, new template control flow) without major rewrites.
- Architect and optimize RxJS-based async data flows ensuring effective use of switchMap, cancellation strategies, caching, and stream management.
- Implement OnPush change detection, efficient trackBy strategies, and handle memory and performance debugging.
- Design and maintain schema-driven/dynamic forms with robust validation logic.
- Collaborate closely with backend and design teams to build seamless, reactive user interfaces.
- Guide the adoption of modern UI tooling, including Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and Playwright for automation testing.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and uphold coding standards and best practices.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of professional frontend experience, with strong expertise in Angular (v10+) and TypeScript.
- Proven experience leading the architecture and design of large, complex Angular applications.
- Deep understanding of RxJS, async data handling, and state management patterns.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and real-time communication (SignalR or WebSockets).
- Solid grasp of performance optimization, change detection strategies, and debugging tools.
- Experience migrating legacy Angular apps to newer versions with minimal disruption.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with NgRx or Component Store for state management.
- Exposure to SSR (Server-Side Rendering) and hydration.
- Experience with design systems and UI component libraries.
- Familiarity with data visualization frameworks or custom charting.
