POSITION SPECIFICS

The College of Health & Human Development Research Office is seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Proposal and Award Generalist - Post Award Coordinator

The successful candidate will thrive in an environment that is fast paced, detailed, and involves complex and multifaceted awards. The coordinator's responsibilities may include assisting in the administration of our large award portfolio to manage funds, monitor balances, end dates, review accounts for closeouts; assist with budget realignments, projections and spending plans; respond to inquiries and solve problems. Additional duties could also include coordinating subaward/subcontract paperwork, serving as back-up for invoice monitoring, and dependent on the level of experience, the successful coordinator may assist with research salary distribution approvals. In addition to the above, all team members serve as back-up for co-workers as needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills; a record of accuracy and attention to detail is essential; who is capable of working both independently and in a team setting. The ability to multitask and respond professionally in challenging situations is essential as well as the ability to prioritize among multiple projects in a deadline environment. Since the majority of the awards in HHD are with National Institutes of Health (NIH) familiarity with NIH policies and guidelines is particularly beneficial.

Knowledge of grant/contract procedures and prior experience is extremely helpful. This position could work with various Central offices including, but not limited to, the Office of Sponsored Programs, Office of Research Protections, and Research Accounting, therefore excellent communication skills are necessary.

Flexible Work Arrangement:

This position has the potential to be performed fully remote, depending on location. Specific details about the flexible work schedule can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview process.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree
No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $46,400.00 - $67,300.00.
