A Crypto wallet security infrastructure provider are looking for a VP of Business Development for Africa.

 

 

They develop the most secure wallet-as-a-service infrastructure in Web3 : an API-first wallet management system, ideal for applications and organizations seeking to provide secure access to all blockchains through a single integration). APIs and SDKs were designed for wallet programmability and efficient implementations, enabling fast deployments, smart automation flows, as well as granular sets of permissions and policies via secure authentication credentials. They are on the way to become the leading wallet infrastructure for the multi-trillion-dollar digital asset industry. 

 

The company is SOC-2 certified, employs 30 people across 6 countries and has raised over $20M since creation with prestigious investors. Their solution is used and trusted by major international corporations.



As the VP of Business Development you will spearhead the regional expansion and establish the company as the trusted partner for financial institutions and fintechs across African markets.
Reporting to the Head of Americas, you’ll own go-to-market in Africa, driving revenue, building strategic partnerships, and guiding clients through the deployment of the company's wallet platform inside existing systems.
This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
You’ll prospect, qualify, and close high-value deals, while also working closely with product and engineering to ensure client success.
You’ll bring credibility, comfort in technical conversations with engineers, and the resilience to grow in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.


MISSIONS

Drive Africa’s business development together with the Head of EMEA.
Act as the company's senior representative and local director in key markets.
Set and hit sales targets, grow revenue, and deliver ARR.
Build strong relationships with banks, enterprises, and regulators.
Source, qualify, and close high-value opportunities across the region.
Track market trends, watch competitors, and handle escalations across time zones.
Lead RFPs, RFIs, and negotiations for complex enterprise deals.
Support post-sale success: planning, compliance, and account expansion.
Review deal results to improve playbooks, targeting, and sales pitches.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and workshops.
Travel across Africa to meet clients and prospects.


Profil

  • 8+ years in business development and enterprise sales with leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of driving ARR growth and closing large-scale deals in finance.
  • Deep understanding of African financial markets and regulatory environments.
  • Experience selling blockchain services or related financial technologies is a strong plus.
  • Strong business acumen, able to link technical capabilities to business value.
  • Skilled communicator, able to break down concepts for senior execs and tech teams.
  • Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and resilience in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency with CRMs, automation platforms, and modern sales tools.
  • Fluent in English; French is a strong plus.

  • Contract : Permanent role (Hybrid remote) in Nigeria or South Africa. remote first, office optional 
  • Salary: 80,000–120,000 USD.
  • Equity: 100-200 stock options (0.1-0.4%) vested over 4 years with a one-year cliff.
