Job description
We are looking for a Client Accounting Manager to join our client's accounting team.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a fully-fledged professional services firm working on specific business units in the areas of finance, corporate, tax, legal, and gaming, and is located in Naxxar.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading an accounting team: fostering effective communication and motivation in line with the company’s vision and values.
Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting and VAT frameworks, assisting other team members as their primary point of contact and reviewing their work where appropriate.
Lead and oversee key accounting projects.
Assist in the onboarding of new clients.
Overseeing all aspects of the team’s work, ensuring high levels of quality, efficiency and client satisfaction.
Monitoring team performance and be involved in target setting.
Managing team workflows, workloads and deadlines.
Mentoring and supporting other team members in their growth and development.
Collaborating with other departments, including audit, payroll, funding and corporate, and identifying opportunities for departmental cross-selling.
Assessing and proposing improvements to systems and processes.
Identifying opportunities for the unit’s growth.
Supporting the Senior Client Accounting Manager with additional tasks as required.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A minimum of 2 years experience in a CSP environment following achievements of qualifications.
Excellent command of accounting standards, Maltese VAT and tax legislation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese languages. Knowledge of a third language is considered a plus.
Working against deadlines and delivering in a timely manner.
Working on your own initiative and in a team, with a pro-active approach.
Building relationships with clients and having a passion for delivering exceptional service.
EDUCATION
ACCA qualified or equivalent.
WORKING TIME
Flexibility in starting time, from 07:30 till 09:30, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break.
