Job description

Overview
The Regional Sales Head will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth across Japan by developing and executing sales strategies, leading high-performing teams, and strengthening client partnerships. This role will oversee multiple business divisions—including Pharma, Medical Devices, Consumer Health, and Digital Solutions—while working closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance and results-oriented culture.
  • Drive new business development by identifying market opportunities and expanding relationships with key clients and decision-makers
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and negotiations to deal closure, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, and global leadership) to deliver integrated solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to shape business strategy and guide product/service offerings.
  • Represent the company externally at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, reinforcing brand presence and thought leadership.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, ensuring effective forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to leadership.

Requirements

Requirements: 
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets in healthcare, pharma, life sciences, or related industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, inspire, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of Japanese healthcare and regulatory landscape, with established networks preferred.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and execution discipline.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix, and global environment.
