Strattmont is recruiting on behalf of a client in Germany. This position requires being in Germany (München, Stuttgart, Berlin, Frankfurt) – Remote.
Our client is hiring a full-time, permanent employee to join their team as a Java developer. This is a fully remote position.
You advise and support our customers and their projects with your expertise as a software developer and DevOps. You do this directly at the customer’s site, from your home office, or from our office in Munich-Passing.
You implement software solutions, design the software or module architecture, automate tests, analyze the system, fix bugs, and improve the system. You work as an integral part of the teams and take part in their SCRUM or Kanban.
Responsibilities:
Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
Taking lead on projects, as needed.
Requirements:
At least 5+ years of experience in development and design with Java, J2EE, and database technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
Fluency or understanding of specific languages, such as: Java, Spring*, Java EE/Jakarta EE, JPA/Hibernate, SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle …), noSQL, Docker&co,
Hands-on experience in databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL. Capable of writing complex DB queries and performing SQL analysis and tuning preferred
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts
Excellent project and time management skills.

Experience working on complex technical projects in a multi-vendor project environment
Experienced in coordinating with other stakeholders and getting the job done
