SAP Basis Consultant - Contract

Job Title: Senior SAP Basis Consultant – AWS (Implementation Team)

Summary:

We need experienced and diligent Basis consultants to join our SAP Cloud migration project teams, working with colleagues all over the world, to service an even-more-widespread customer base. Expectations from our customers are high, so we need people with high expectations of themselves, and a very good eye for detail. 

Responsibilities:

You are a confident, experienced and (still) hands-on Basis Consultant who has worked across many different applications, databases and operating systems. You want to continue learning new technologies, approaches and solutions. You pride yourself in your ability to solve difficult problems others cannot. You are able to think outside the box and can conceptualize new designs and ways of working. You understand the need to and benefits of automating tasks to the maximum extent possible. You like working with clients, and they like working with you. You are a team player and are happy to share your knowledge with others. 

Specific Responsibilities :

•    Build and Migrate SAP systems to a hyperscaler (AWS/Azure) with backup/restore, DB replication, tenant copy, etc.
•    Responding to customer requests in a timely manner, owning basis issues to resolution
•    Proactively identifying the root cause of issues and recommending and implementing solutions
•    Liaising with infrastructure, security and other team members to support a customer's requirements
•    Providing out of hours support cover when scheduled 
•    Producing documentation regarding the steps taken for defined workloads
•    Share knowledge with internal and external teams 

Qualifications:

•    Minimum of 10 years SAP basis experience across multiple SAP components
•    Experience with SAP Basis and NetWeaver Administration
•    Experience with Hana and ASE databases, MaxDB and IQ knowledge would be very desirable
•    Hands on experience in implementing and/or migrating SAP systems to AWS/Azure
•    Experience in SAP Installation, SAP Sizing, SAP Backup and Recovery, SAP Basis Monitoring, DR solutions
•    Excellent English language written and oral communication skills
•    Ability to work collaboratively as part of a global team
•    Selected applicant will be subject to a background investigation, which will be conducted and the results of which will be used in compliance with applicable law.

Work hours:
•    EMEA timezone will be the standard working hours
•    Migrations can happen at any planned time the customer defined, at weekends and at night
•    Flexibility of working hours is essential
