Job Description: QA Engineer

Overview:
As a QA Engineer at Elevate Calls Inc., you will be integral in upholding the quality and performance of our SaaS products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to identify, document, and resolve software defects, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Strategy:
    Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Automated Testing:
    Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
  • Manual Testing:
    Perform manual testing to identify bugs, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks in the application.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand features and functionalities, providing input on testability and quality requirements.
  • Defect Tracking:
    Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Bugzilla. Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Performance and Security Testing:
    Conduct performance and security testing to ensure the application meets industry standards and can handle varying loads.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports. Create user guides and support documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing is a plus.
  • Experience with performance and security testing is a bonus.
