IMS Database Systems Programmer (Remote)

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a IMS database systems engineer for our partner to work on projects for clients in various industries. You will be responsible for implementing IMS data sharing/parallel sysplex, performing systems performance tuning and capacity planning, and ensuring security interface with IMS. You will also work with SMP/E and UserMods, IMS tools, and OEM vendor tools. You will also have knowledge of z/OS, USS, JCL, CICS/IMS, and MQ/IMS.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Ideally 7+ years of experience as a IMS systems programmer
• Expertise in IMS internals, fundamentals, installations, and operations
• Experience in implementing IMS data sharing/parallel sysplex
• Experience in performing systems performance tuning and capacity planning
• Knowledge of security interface with IMS
• Experience with SMP/E and UserMods, IMS tools
• Indepth knowledge of z/OS, USS, and JCL skills
• Working knowledge of CICS/IMS and MQ/IMS
• Knowledge of interfacing with and installing OEM vendor tools
• Proficiency in IMS system~s performance tuning and capacity planning
