Web Developer/Designer

Position: Web Developer/Designer

Number of hours: 20 hours/week

Schedule: Eastern Time - US & Canada

Tasks:

• Meet with the client to discuss website design and function

• Design and build the website using SquareSpace or Wix

• Create the website architecture

• Design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration

• Generate themes and plugins

• Conduct website performance tests

• Troubleshoot content issues

• Monitor the performance of the live website

• Other ad hoc tasks to be assigned

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a web developer or relevant experience

• Knowledge in web programming specifically using SquareSpace and/or Wix

• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS

• Top-notch knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process

• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytical tools

• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques
