QA Engineer Manual

About the Role

The Quality Assurance role provides you with a unique opportunity to join a high-growth software company. Our client seeks someone who is a critical thinker and understands product workflows and how users typically interact with applications. 

What you'll do when you get here:

• Collaborate with the Engineering team to understand requirements and ensure those requirements are met
• Implement agile processes that drive predictable, high-quality delivery, ensuring a high-quality experience for customers
• Ensure a bug-free and high-quality product is delivered to our customers
• Collaborate with Test Automation Engineers to develop and implement test plans for your squad
• Be a proactive member of the QA team and assigned squad who finds issues before customers
• Manage customer issues and verify implemented solutions
• Work with QA and squad team members for deployment and development timelines
• Perform manual Jira ticket verification
• Perform manual regression and exploratory testing in support of product deployments
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-facing experimentation

What you need to have:

• 4+ years of QA testing experience
• Understanding and experience working with an agile product lifecycle model
• Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Knowledge of Jira or other project management tools
• Experience with planning, documenting test cases and executing manual test cases for Web applications and/or mobile applications.
• Knowledge of APIs and using Postman for debugging
• Experience with using browser Developer Tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with principles of good UX, UI and design-centric thinking
• Strong communications skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Test Automation Engineers to provide a comprehensive QA support solution for the company
• ISTQB Tester certification a strong plus
