Guadalajara Mid-Senior Asterisk Engineer

Key Responsibilities

As an Asterisk Developer, you will:

• Develop, support, troubleshoot and implement new features on our telephony infrastructure Fine-tune and support our SIP/telephony application infrastructure, including Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, and OpenSIPS.
• Develop and implement new features Work with our front-end GUI team to create innovative functionalities within our hosted telephony platform.
• Create complex IVRs & dial plans Build, maintain, and enhance IVR flows, call routing logic, and dial plans within Asterisk.
• Develop and maintain scripting tools Implement automation tools using shell scripting, PHP, or other relevant languages.
• Optimize database performance Collaborate with MySQL DBAs to fine-tune database performance for high availability and scalability.
• Lead and contribute to telephony projects Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance our communication services.
• Support unified communications Implement and enhance voice, text, email, video, and chat solutions for a seamless experience.
• Research and recommend new technologies Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating and suggesting software and hardware solutions for improved efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of telephony system administration and development experience with Asterisk.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, or other distributions).
• Experience with AWS, Git, Docker.
• Experience in SaaS, CaaS, or hosted telephony environments.
• Strong programming skills in AGI scripting PHP).
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MySQL and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience in creating and managing IVRs and dial plans within Asterisk.

Bonus / Good to have

• Some experience working with PHP, shell scripting.
• Asterisk upgrade/conversion experience is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of Linux-based telephony applications like OpenSIPS, FreeSWITCH, VoIP.

Salary range $40,000 to $55,000 pesos monthly gross plus:
