Position: Occupational Therapist

Location: Carlow (Hybrid)

Role: Permanent full or part time considered

Salary: 45,000 - 85,000 per annum (depending on experience)

This dynamic team delivers high-quality diagnostic assessments for children and adults, collaborating closely with public health services to provide exceptional care.

Role Overview

We are seeking qualified Occupational Therapists for full-time and part-time roles within a Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. This hybrid position, with some remote working options, covers Southeast Ireland, including South Tipperary, Carlow/Kilkenny, Waterford, and Wexford, with a base in Swords/North Dublin for in-person work. The role is perfect for professionals dedicated to conducting diagnostic assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions, particularly Autism.

You will perform comprehensive assessments using established tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R, focusing on Autism and specialist occupational therapy assessments. Responsibilities include writing professional, timely reports, providing tailored recommendations and interventions, and depending on experience, supervising or supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments for Autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions using tools like ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Prepare professional assessment reports with appropriate recommendations.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Optionally, provide supervision and support to junior clinicians.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent CORU-registered qualification.
  • Current CORU registration.
  • Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental assessments with children.
  • ADOS-2 and ADI-R training (essential).
  • Experience working with children and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in report writing and record-keeping.
