Job description

A position is available for a Technical Sales & Application Engineer focused on the Industrial market in Gauteng. This is a sales-centric role with a strong technical component, ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys both problem-solving and client engagement. The successful candidate will support industrial clients across sectors such as chemical, mining, automotive, and manufacturingwhile proactively identifying new business and cross-selling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of advanced filtration and separation technologies across industrial applications.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with engineering and operational stakeholders.
  • Provide on-site technical support, including troubleshooting, audits, and performance assessments.
  • Conduct field trials and solution optimizations to meet operational and regulatory client needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and technical solutions.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts and help expand the client base.
  • Keep detailed records of service visits, technical performance, and customer feedback.

Requirements

  • BSc or NDip in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1-2 years of technical experience in industrial environments, preferably client-facing.
  • Solid grasp of industrial processes and equipment across sectors such as petrochemical, mining, or manufacturing.
  • Sales-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid drivers license and own transport (site travel required).
