Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Survey Draftsman to join our Cape Town team, supporting our surveyors in producing detailed and accurate topographical, engineering, and cadastral survey drawings. This role offers flexible hybrid work arrangements, including the possibility to work remotely with your own laptop.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed and precise survey drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Convert survey data and calculations into clear, compliant, and client-ready as-constructed drawings.
• Collaborate closely with the surveying team to ensure all data is accurately translated into technical deliverables.
• Assist with the preparation of tender submissions, project reports, and other documentation as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting standards, surveying practices, and software tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical drafting issues efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience as a Draftsman or in a similar technical drafting role within the construction or surveying industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other technical drafting software.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce error-free, high-quality technical drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the survey team and clients.
• Solid knowledge of surveying principles and drafting standards.
• Ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferably own a laptop, as the role allows work-from-home options.
