Job description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong experience in hybrid cloud environments to join our IT team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Terraform, container orchestration in AWS ECS, scripting, cloud security, and hybrid infrastructure spanning both AWS and Azure.

Essential Functions:

Design, manage, and scale infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) across AWS and Azure.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and related DevOps tools.
Configure and manage site-to-site VPNs between Azure and AWS.
Perform day-to-day SysOps tasks including patching, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
Implement and maintain cloud security best practices and compliance controls.
Deploy and manage containerized workloads using AWS ECS.
Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Administer resources in Azure, including Microsoft 365 Admin Center management.
Support database operations and performance tuning.
Work with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.

Essential Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree required

Experience Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cloud DevOps or SysOps role.
Expertise with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Proficient in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience deploying and managing workloads in AWS ECS.
Solid understanding of site-to-site VPN configuration and troubleshooting between Azure and AWS.
Hands-on experience with Azure administration and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
Familiarity with networking concepts including VPCs, routing, peering, NSGs, and firewalls.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and controls.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket
Experience with cloud monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog) is highly preferred.
