We're seeking an experienced QA / Tester specializing in Fineos and API Integrations to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines and system integrations. You will design, execute, and automate test strategies that validate mission-critical integrations with Fineos Claims Management and AWS-based data flows.
This is a long-term role in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality assurance in enterprise insurance systems.
You'll be working alongside a Senior Data Pipeline Engineer and cross-functional stakeholders to validate integrations between Fineos, AWS data services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift), and other enterprise platforms. This project is central to ensuring claims data is accurate, secure, and accessible for operational and analytics use cases.
The testing scope spans API validation, data quality, functional/regression testing, and automation frameworks—providing an opportunity to grow your expertise in complex insurance technology systems.
Design, document, and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for Fineos Claims API integrations.
Validate API functionality, data transformations, and mappings across AWS-based pipelines.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of Fineos and related workflows.
Implement and maintain automated API and data validation suites using Postman, REST Assured, PyTest, or similar tools.
Monitor and test for data quality, integrity, and security, ensuring compliance when handling PII.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product managers to define acceptance criteria and deliver reliable solutions.
Troubleshoot issues, document defects, and work closely with developers to drive resolution.
Contribute to QA best practices, including CI/CD testing, automation, and documentation.
Proven experience as a QA Engineer / Tester with focus on API and integration testing.
Strong knowledge of Fineos Claims Management System (API, workflows, and data model).
Hands-on expertise in testing REST APIs (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, etc.).
Familiarity with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift) for validation of data pipelines.
Proficiency with Python or scripting for automation.
Solid understanding of data validation techniques (schema checks, transformation logic, data integrity).
Prior experience in the insurance domain, particularly claims systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with CI/CD automation frameworks (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
Familiarity with other enterprise systems such as SAP, CPAY, FileNET, or CoFax.
Knowledge of performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6).
Agile/Scrum experience.
3–6 years of professional QA / testing experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience delivering QA coverage for complex integrations and enterprise APIs.
Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
